Specs & Guidelines

Ideal temps for application range from 30F - 95F, however HyperDip is sensitive to humidity. Humidity levels at or below 50% are ideal. HyperDip® protects your wheels from acids, abrasion, corrosion, impact, salts, moisture and weathering. It remains flexible, stretchy and will not crack, or become brittle in extreme temperatures when applied correctly.HyperDip is not compatible with traditional Plasti Dip, so please do not combine or stack the two products.Test all applications in a small inconspicuous area to make sure it will meet your expectations and is suitable for each unique surface. Although HyperDip has proven to be safe and predictable, every surface is unique and it's impossible to predict how each surface will react.

Exactly What I Was Looking For

I wanted a more monochrome look to my new car by blackening the badges. HyperDip gave me the perfect result. Haven't had a chance to test durability, btu the look of the satin finish is amazing. Follow directions exactly and you will be very satisfied. Love that the kit came with everything I needed.

Of course, be sure to make sure the surface is 100% clean and dry, predip the surface by applying a little predip to a microfiber towel and then wiping the surface down. Then follow up with a very thorough wipedown using rubbing alcohol. Be sure to buff off any streaks on the surface before spraying.

Hello, That video we used a red base then used the ZGT HyperShift over the red base. Unfortunately when using our peelable products you cannot use your OEM color as the base as the topcoats and pearls are not meant to be used without a base underneath. So regardless of the OEM color of the vehicle you would have to apply a base over the OEM. We do not have a clear base that will allow you to have the OEM color show through. So for this you would need to lay our Avalanche Grey(base for the red), then Red PlastiDip, then the topcoat and pearl. A vehicle will require 6-8 coats of base before using the pearl. If you had a medium sized vehicle that will require 4-5 gallons of base before moving to the pearl. you can split that up with 2 gal of grey for the base for the red, 3 gal of red. Then a medium sized vehicle will need 2 gallons of the topcoat along with the pearl. These steps I listed is for peelable products and if you want to use this in permanent paint that is a different procedure.

I have a 25 Mazda CX 50 soulred I want to black out the emblems. Should I use the shadow satin black or the matte black on the emblems?

Have a black 2015 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and of course hate chrome but I can decide what would look better for the emblems satin or gloss. I do have to restore the black plastic trim. It’s not bad either. Any ideas would help

Hello, Both of those will look good on that vehicle it really comes down to personal preference. If you want the wheels to match up with the trim on the vehicle then chances are you will like to go with the Shadow Black(satin finish). If you want to separate the wheels from the trim of the vehicle then go with Piano Black. If the vehicle is already a glossy black then I would contrast away from the gloss finish as too much gloss and no contrast can look a bit off on a vehicle.
