How to Spray
Technical Data Sheet
Luna Basecoats, Midcoats & Performance series paints come ‘Ready to Spray’. This means that you just need to mix the paint when you are ready, filter and spray.
Our Performance Series and Solid basecoats have high covering power meaning they don't usually require a specific base color.
If you would like to paint a light color over dark (yellow over black for example), we suggest you purchase our Grey UHS Primer Kit to ensure your have the correct base.
OEM Basecoats that require a certain base / undercoat will be displayed automatically.
Tips:
- 2 x 75% Wet coats for full coverage.
- Midcoats, Pearls and Metallics will all need a ‘3rd Coat’ which should be ‘Control or Effect coat’. If you are unsure, please as for the Luna Technical Department when contacting customer service. When spraying these types of paints, take your time and apply even coats.
- Once your desired coverage / effect has been achieved, we recommend you apply an 'effect' coat which should applied using a lower pressure and a further gun distance from the panel being sprayed. It Is Important that this Is applied evenly with no 'wet' spots only 'dry' pearl being applied to ensure a fully even finish.
- Once dry, use either our VHS or Standard clearcoat to seal It In.
